Steps to Create a Report

  1. Log in to TDNext.

  2. Select the “Tickets” application.

  3. Click the “+ Report” button and choose “Report

  4. Select “Ticket Reports.”

 

Customizing Your Report

After selecting the type of report, you’ll see these sections to customize:

  1. Name: Give your report a clear name so others can understand what it’s for.

  2. Description: Add a brief description of the report’s purpose.

  3. Report Columns: Choose which columns to include. You can add, remove, or rearrange them.

    • Use the blue “Help” button to learn what each column means.

    • Special columns like “Count” or “Aggregate” can summarize data (e.g., count projects or show max/min values).

  4. Filtering: Decide what data to include.

    • Check “Prompt” to let others choose filter values when running the report.

  5. Ordering: Choose how to sort the data (e.g., by status or date).

  6. Maximum Rows: Set how many rows to show (more rows may take longer to load).

  7. Visibility: Choose who can see the report (default is only you).

  8. Chart: Add a visual like a bar or pie chart to make data easier to understand.

  9. Desktop Delivery: Choose how the report looks when viewed in the Desktop app (chart or grid view).

  10. Email Delivery: Set up email alerts to send the report daily, weekly, or monthly in formats like Excel or PDF.

 

Saving and Running Your Report

  • Saving: Once you’ve customized your report, click the “Save” button to store it for future use.

  • Running: To view your report, click the “Save and Run” button. This will generate the report based on your settings.
