Description: User can put [secure] as part of the subject line to send an encrypted messages to recipients. However, recipients will have slightly different experiences opening the email depending on their email service platform.
How-to Steps / Sending a [secure] email:
- In the top left corner of the outlook webpage click "New message".
- Add the [secure] tag to any part of your subject line as shown below.
- After your email is ready for sending, click the "Send" button in the bottom left of the email creating box.
- The email should then arrive in the inbox of the recipient and will look like the following:
How-to Steps / Opening a [secure] email:
- Click on "Read the message" and the window below should come up
- If using Gmail, click "Sign in with Google" and use your credentials to log-in
- If using another email, click "Sign in with a One-Time passcode" and a code will be sent to the recipient on the secure email
- After either method of verification the following screen will come up with the un-encrypted email
