Description: Below you will find instructions on how to set up DUO for the first time after updating your password to meet the new requirements.
New Password Requirements:
- 14 characters long, and contain at least two of the following criteria:
- Uppercase and lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Special Characters
How-to Steps: (AFTER password has been updated to meet the new password requirements.)
- Update your password so that it matches the new password requirements as shown above.
- After updating your password, go to sign into your MyCCRI portal.
- After entering the correct sign-on credentials, you will be prompted with the first DUO setup screen as shown below. Click "Start setup".

- The next screen will prompt you to select the type of device you will be installing the DUO mobile app on. For most people, "Mobile phone" will be the best option. After making the selection, click "Continue".

- On the next page, enter the phone number of the mobile device you are installing DUO on. Make sure to confirm the number by clicking the checkbox on that page. After entering and confirming your phone number, click "Continue".

- The next page will prompt you to confirm the type of phone you are using: iPhone, Android, or Windows Phone. Once you've made and confirmed your selection, click "Continue".

- The next page will prompt you to confirm that you have the DUO mobile app installed on your device. Once you have installed the app and are ready to move to the next step, select the green "I have Duo Mobile" button.

- Once you select that you have the app installed, a new page with a randomly generated QR code will appear. Within the newly installed DUO mobile app on your phone, scan the QR code using the camera on your phone. It may prompt you to allow the app to have permission to use the phone's camera, approve/accept any usage. (Note: The QR code in the screenshot will not work for your setup. You will need to scan the code generated specifically for your setup.)

- Once successfully scanned, a green check mark will cover the QR code and you can select "Continue" when ready.

- DUO will let you know that the setup process has finished. This will be indicated by having your device type and number listed on the page below. From here, select "Continue to Login" and resign in using your CCRI credentials.
