Summary
If the computer is not working first press enter on the keyboard to wake up the computer. You could also try checking the power cord, sometimes the cord is a little loose.
You want to also turn on the projector to make sure the signal is being sent if the computer is on and not showing up on the monitor. It could be showing up on the projector. In that case hit the "Win+P" and click on duplicate.

Description: When a computer is not responding and the monitor is blank.
How-to Steps:
- Is the computer on?
- Check for a steady light on the PC power button.
- If the light is not on, press the power button.
- If that fails, check the power cable from the PC to the power outlet. If there is a power strip, make sure it’s switched on.
- If the power light is flashing, press Enter on the keyboard to wake the PC from sleep mode.
- Is the monitor on? Check for a steady blue, white, or green light on the monitor.
- Check the monitor’s selected input.
- Check the power and video cables.
- Turn on the projector. If the computer displays through the projector, then Windows may be set to “second screen only.” Press the 'Windows' and 'P' keys together to open the project menu. Click 'Duplicate'.
