Barnes & Noble First Day Complete

Barnes & Noble First Day Complete is a course materials program that provides students with access to required textbooks and course materials — both digital and physical — for a flat program fee. Most CCRI materials are expected to be delivered digitally through Blackboard. Follow the steps below for adding Bares & Noble First Day Complete to your Blackboard course.

There are two options for accessing the First Day Course Materials: 

Add the First Day Complete Link to Your Course Content Area via the Content Market

Follow the steps below to add the Barnes & Noble First Day Complete link to your course through the Content Market, which will create a visible link directly within the course, making it easier for students to locate as opposed to directing students to the sidebar to find themselves. 

 

  1. From the Content area of your course, hover over any dividing line in your Content area or Module, and click on it when it turns purple and has the plus icon + [1].

  2. Click on the line and you'll have the option to select content options from a drop down menu [2].

  3. Choose Content Market [3] from the drop down menu.
     
  4. The Content Market pane [4] will display. Scroll down and select First Day Course Materials [5] from the Institution Tools list.

  5. The First Day Course Materials pane with open [6], and you'll see you Course and Materials [7] you selected listed.

    • Confirm that the correct course and book/materials are listed.
    • If there are any issues with the content listed, please contact the bookstore. 
       
  6. Click on the X [8] to close the First Day Course Materials pane.
     
  7. Back in the Content Market pane, click on the plus sign in a circle [9] within the First Day Course Materials block to add the link to your Course Content area.

  8. The First Day Course Materials link [10] will display where you chose to add it in your Content area, or Module

Add the First Day Complete Materials to the Books and Tools Area

Follow the steps below to add the Barnes & Noble First Day Complete link to your course through the Books and Tools area of your course. 

  1. From the Content area of your course, click on the View course & institution tools link [1] under Books & Tools in the Details & Actions menu [2].

  2. In the Books & Course Tools pane [3], click on the First Day Course Materials link [4] or button [5].

  3. The First Day Course Materials pane with open [5], and you'll see you Course and Materials [6] you selected listed.

    • Confirm that the correct course and book/materials are listed.
    • If there are any issues with the content listed, please contact the bookstore.
       
  4. Click on the X [7] to close the First Day Course Materials pane.
     
  5. Back in the Books & Course Tools pane, click on the plus sign in a circle [8] next to the First Day Course Materials button and link to add the link to your Course Content area.

  6. The First Day Course Materials link [9] will display at the bottom of your your Content area.
