Using Zoom with the Cisco Tablet

1. Start the Zoom meeting on a secondary laptop (or the desktop computer in the room.)

You must start the meeting using your SSO account, not your personal zoom account. If the meeting is not started using a ccri domain SSO account, the Crestron tablet will not have the necessary privileges to connect.

Once the meeting is started make sure to mute this computers audio in zoom, as we will be using the room mics instead.

2. After you start the meeting, go to the Cisco touch tablet and hit the left button that says “Call” as shown below.

3. You will now enter the "MEETING ID#" followed by “@zoomcrc.com” using the touchscreen keyboard on the Cisco tablet as shown below. (Your Meeting ID number can be found within your Zoom Meeting Invite)

Now hit the “Call” button.

The Cisco unit will call into your meeting and the room kit (mounted microphones and cameras) will turn on.

4. Cisco Unit will ask you for the meeting Passcode. Now on the screens in the room you will see this pop up.

Enter the Meeting Passcode with the “Keypad” on the Crestron tablet followed by pound (#) as shown below. (The Meeting Passcode can be found within your zoom invite.)

5. Now the Cisco Unit will ask you for the Host Key.

A prompt on the display screens will ask you to enter the Host Key followed by pound (#). This number is only found on your Profile in your Zoom WEB Client.

Enter this number followed by # using the touchscreen keypad as you did in the previous step.

You don’t have to enter this number and make the Cisco tablet a host. If you do nothing, the Cisco unit will show up in your waiting room or participants list as a guest.

After you enter the meeting host key, or join the meeting as a guest you are now connected to the room!

**If people in the meeting connected remotely can not hear you, you may need to Unmute the Room Mics.

This will have to be done on the Crestron Tablet using the Zoom Dial Menu**

To do this, open the keypad on the Crestron tablet as you have done in the previous steps, and hit “1”.

This will open up the Zoom Dial Menu as shown below.

Now Press “2” on the Cisco tablet keypad to make sure the microphones are unmuted. This is likely the only meeting control that you will need to do from the tablet.

You can still control the meeting from your laptop or computer as a host, say to give participants special privileges, start or stop recording or stopping the meeting. But now you can also do these things from the cisco tablet using this Zoom Dial Menu and submenus.

See the “Zoom Dial Menu” Tutorial for a more in depth look at all the commands available within the zoom dial menu and submenus.
