O365 / Unable to Edit on a Mac Issue

Description: The "unable to edit on this mac" error occurs when the license of the user is not working properly. To fix this the client will need to use the official Microsoft License removal tool to remove their license. Once they restart the computer their license will generate and it should function as normal. 

How-to Steps:

1. Download the license removal tool at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=849815 .

2. In your Mac downloads folder, find and run the .pkg file.

3. Select Continue and follow the prompts in the setup wizard.

  3-2. After clicking "Continue", you'll need to Agree to the terms of the software license agreement. Click Agree.

4.When you're ready to complete the license removal, select Install. You may need to enter your Mac's local admin account password.

After the tool successfully removes licenses, select Close.

5. Open any Office 365 app (office, PowerPoint, etc.) and sign in with your CCRI email and password. 

6. Restart the Mac. The license issue should be fixed and you can delete the Microsoft_Office_License_Removal.pkg file.
