How to use Software Center

Description: Software Center is where you can install or update software licensed to CCRI, without the assistance of the Information Technology Department. An example how to use Software Center is shown in this article.

How-to Steps:

  1. Open Software Center by searching for "software center" in the Windows Start Menu and click the resulting application.

    • Note: Software Center is only available on CCRI owned and managed computers. If you're unable to find it on such a computer, contact the CCRI help desk for assistance.
  2. If the software you wish to install is not present on the main page use the search box in the upper right corner of software center.

  3. Click the application you wish to install. This will bring you to the Application's page within Software Center, just click Install to begin the installation. In this example we use the the application page for LockDown Browser - 2.0.7.02.
