Connecting Chromebooks to CCRI WiFi

Description: How to connect Chromebooks to the wireless network at CCRI. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Android devices and Chromebooks can be tricky when connecting to the wireless CCRI network. If you run into any troubles connecting your devices, please contact the IT Help Desk at (401) 825-1112. 

How-to Steps:

1. Click on the WiFi connection icon in the bottom right of the Chromebook screen as shown below. This may vary depending on which Chromebook device you are using.  
2. In the list of available networks, select "CCRI_Community".

3. A settings pop-up will appear. Match the settings pop-up window to the image below.

   2. For the "EAP method", select "PEAP". For "Identity" and "Password", enter the CCRI login credentials. Click Connect. ​

   3. Leave "Anonymous identity" blank. ​

   4. For "Server CA certificate" leave as "Default", if it doesn’t connect the first time set it to "Do no validate".​

Once these steps are completed, the Chromebook device should now be connected to the Wi-Fi.
