Description: This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up the Microsoft Authenticator app, which enhances the security of your CCRI account by adding two-factor authentication.
Visit https://outlook.com/my.ccri.edu and sign in with your CCRI credentials
After signing in, you'll be prompted to start the Microsoft Authenticator app setup. Click “Next” to proceed.
On the “Keep your account secure” page, select “Download now” to download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device, then click “Next”.
Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone and select “Add account”. Choose “work or school account”.
Select “Scan QR code” in the app and allow camera access. Back on the “Keep your account secure” page, click “Next” to display the QR code and scan it with your phone.
Back on the “Keep your account secure” page, click “Next” to display the QR code and scan it with your phone.
Confirm the number displayed on the “Keep your account secure” screen by entering it into your phone and selecting “Yes”.
Enter your cell phone number for secondary recovery. Choose how you’d like to receive the code and click “Next”.
Enter the code received via call or text and select “Next”.
