How to Enable Cross-Site Tracking or Third Party Cookies

Description: When using online textbooks or programs like MyMathLabs, third party cookies or cross-site tracking may be needed to correctly open the website on your personal devices. Here's how to enable third party cookies on iOS, MacOS, Windows, Android, and Chromebook devices.

To Enable Cookies in Safari on iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Scroll down and select Safari.
  • Under the Privacy & Security section, turn off "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" and "Block All Cookies".
    • NOTE: The new iOS 17 update moved the Block All Cookies option to the "Advanced" section of the Settings app.

For Google Chrome on iOS:

  • Go to the Settings app.
  • Scroll down and select Chrome.
  • Enable "Cross-Website Tracking".
  • NOTE: A recent update for Chrome iOS prevents allowing Cross-Site Tracking from fully resolving the error. If the errors still persist, we recommended you use Apple Safari or Mozilla Firefox instead, after adjusting the settings for that browser.

For Google Chrome on MacBook:

  • Open Chrome preferences click on Settings, then Show Advanced Settings.
    • "Show Advanced Settings" may not appear in the Settings for Chrome installations on some MacBooks, like the Apple MacBook Air.
  • Under Privacy, click on Content Settings.
  • Make sure “Block third-party cookies and site data” is not checked.

For Safari on MacBook

  • Click on Safari in top left corner.
  • Click Preferences from the drop down menu.
(This could also be listed as Settings instead of Preferences.)
  • Click on the Privacy tab.
  • Uncheck "Prevent cross-site tracking" and "Block all cookies".
    • In the Safari settings for some Macbooks, the only option may be to set Cookies to "Always Allow."
