📘 Sage Vantage (LTI 1.3) – Blackboard Integration Guide

🔎 What is Sage Vantage?

Sage Vantage is a cloud-based learning platform from Sage Publishing that delivers interactive e-textbooks, auto-graded assignments, multimedia learning activities, and instructor analytics dashboards.

Sage Vantage integrates with Blackboard using LTI 1.3, allowing instructors and students to access course materials through single sign-on and enabling grade passback to the Blackboard Grade Center.

  • Blackboard Original

  • Blackboard Ultra (no reconfiguration required)

🔐 Supported Integration Features

Sage Vantage supports the following Blackboard features:

• ✅ Grade Passback to Blackboard

• ✅ Deep Linking (embed Sage Vantage content directly into your course)

🧭 How Instructors Add Sage Vantage to a Course

Sage Vantage is added from within the course using Deep Linking.

1. Go to your Blackboard course.

2. Navigate to a content area (e.g., Course Content).

3. Select Build Content.

1. Choose Sage Vantage from the list of available tools.

2. Log in to Sage Vantage when prompted.

3. Select the content you want to link (assignments, readings, activities).

4. Submit to place the content directly into your course.

📎 Note: Deep linking allows students to access Sage Vantage content without a separate login and ensures grades sync properly.

♿ Accessibility & Compliance

• Sage Vantage provides an online VPAT outlining its accessibility conformance.

• The tool is reviewed as part of CCRI’s accessibility and compliance process in preparation for Title II ADA requirements.

• Instructors should contact Sage directly for questions related to specific accessibility features or accommodations within the platform.

• Sage Vantage is not a legacy Building Block and does not require upgrades from older integrations.

• No additional placements are required for Ultra.

• Once linked, instructors manage all course content directly within Sage Vantage.
