How to use Room 6308's Technology Using the Crestron System

Description: Room 6308 has a set of 4 different computer's and large TV's mounted on the wall. All these are tied to the touch screen panel which controls how the image shows on the TV's.

Computer:

  • Make sure the "Instructor PC" is turned on. It sits on rack on the left of the instructor's station.
  • Touch the screen on the "Crestron" panel to start.
  • The system will then start powering on. The TV#1 should automatically turn on.
    • If TV#1 is not turning on, Go to "Settings" on the Crestron and you will have the option to turn on/off all 4 Tv's
    • Turn off TV#1 and turn it back on.
  • To show your image on the other 3 TV's, tap "PC", tap the Crestron and tap & highlight "Computer1" then tap on "Send to Display" to display.
  • To use the other 3 computers, look in the rack, there is a cabinet with 3 sets of keyboards & mice. They are labeled to their respective devices.
  • Turn on the other computers and make sure that on the Crestron you are sending the computers displays to their respective TV units.

Document Camera:

  • Touch the screen on the "Crestron" panel to start.
  • The system will then power on. The TV#1 should automatically turn on.
    • If TV#1 is not turning on, Go to "Settings" on the Crestron and you will have the option to turn on/off all 4 Tv's
    • Turn off TV#1 and turn it back on.
  • Tap & highlight "Doc Cam" tab
  • Make sure to lift the document camera arm upwards until fully upright.
  • Aim the camera lens towards the white canvas.
  • Tap the power button and the led will turn white.
    • Tap the power button again, lights of the document camera will turn on, and the led will turn green.
  • Highlight "Doc Cam" and tap "Send Display" on any of the TV units.
  • This same video signal can be sent to the other TV units at the same time.

Blu-Ray/DVD Player:

  • Touch the screen on the "Crestron" panel to start.
  • The system will then power on. The TV#1 should automatically turn on.
    • If TV#1 is not turning on, Go to "Settings" on the Crestron and you will have the option to turn on/off all 4 Tv's
    • Turn off TV#1 and turn it back on.
  • Tap & highlight on the "Video Aux" tab 
  • Highlight "Blu-Ray" and tap "Send Display" on any of the TV units.
  • This same video signal can be sent to multiple TV units at the same time.

Laptop:

  • Plug in the available VGA cable into your laptop.
    • If you don't have a VGA port available and require assistance please contact Help Desk
  • Touch the screen on the "Crestron" panel to start.
  • The system will then power on. The TV#1 should automatically turn on.
    • If TV#1 is not turning on, Go to "Settings" on the Crestron and you will have the option to turn on/off all 4 Tv's
    • Turn off TV#1 and turn it back on.
  • Tap & highlight on the "Video Aux" tab 
  • Highlight "Laptop" and tap "Send Display" on any of the TV units.
