How to check for Windows Updates on Library Loaner Laptops

Description: This article explains the steps to perform windows updates on the Library Loaner laptops. 

Note: Before performing windows updates, please make sure to have the laptop connected to a power source and connected to the Wifi.

How-to Steps:

1. Connect to the Wifi, and sign into the computer with your CCRI credentials.
2. In the search bar next to the start button type "Software Center" then select  Software Center 
   
   
    
3. Then select Updates tab
   
   
    
4. Select Install All
   
   
    
5. Some updates may require a restart. Select Restart Now
   
   
    
6. Once the computer is back at the Login Screen from restarting, repeat steps 1 through 3 to make sure it says "No Items Found".
