Getting Started with Verified DUO Push

CCRI is Strengthening Login Security with Verified DUO Push

Overview

Verified Duo Push builds on our existing multi-factor authentication (MFA) system by adding an extra layer of verification to better protect your account.

You will still receive a push notification as per the usual process, but instead of simply tapping the green check mark ‘Approve’ on your phone, you will now be prompted to enter a three-digit code displayed on your computer screen into the Duo Mobile app on your phone. This extra step helps prevent someone from accidentally approving a login they didn’t initiate, helping prevent unauthorized access, even if your password has been compromised.

When will this change take place?

This upgrade is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 30 at 7:00 AM

How Verified DUO Push Works

  1. When logging in to a Duo-protected service using Verified Push, you’ll see a Duo prompt on your computer or other device displaying a unique three-digit code.
  2. Enter the three-digit code into the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone, then tap the blue Verify button to complete the login.

Note: If the DUO Mobile app on your smartphone ever displays the above screen and you are not attempting to log in, tap the red "I'm not logging in" option to deny the request.
