Zoom – Auto Live Transcript (Closed Captions) 

                                 User Profile Settings 

 

To enable Zoom’s auto live transcription (closed captions) feature so that closed captions are available for your meeting’s participants: 

  1. Open Chrome or Firefox and go to Zoom.us 

  1. Sign in using the SSO sign-in method. Follow the prompts. 

  1. Once signed in you will see your user profile, navigate to Settings. 

  1. Scroll down to the Closed Captioning options.  

  1. Click Allow live transcription service to transcribe meeting automatically option to enable/disable the feature. 

  1. Click the Save button. 

Zoom – Auto Live Transcript (Closed Captions) 

In Meeting Options 

If Zoom’s auto live transcription (closed captions) feature is enbaled in the host’s account settings, the meeting host has the ability to enable/disable the Live Transcript (closed caption) feature during the meeting. Live Transcriptions will be available for participants who wish to use it. 

Host: 

  1. Start the Zoom meeting 

  1. Click on the Live Transcript button. A menu will appear. 

  1. Click Enable Auto-transcription to allow live transcriptions (closed captions) for the meeting participants.

NOTE: Please be sure to download and install the 64-bit version of Zoom. The default 32-bit of Zoom is known to freeze and crash while live transcription is enabled for the user.
