This article explains how to forward a voicemail message to another user using the WebEx Calling voicemail system.
Before You Begin:
How-to Steps:
- Access the Voicemail System
- Dial *62 from your Cisco desk phone or Webex App to call the voice portal.
- When prompted:
- If calling from your own phone, enter your voicemail PIN, then press #.
- If calling from another phone, press *, enter your mailbox ID (your seven-digit CCRI phone number), then your voicemail PIN, each followed by #.
- If you haven't recorded your name yet, you’ll be prompted to do so before continuing.
- Listen to the Voicemail
- Press 1 to access your voicemail messages.
- Press 1 again to listen to the current message.
- Forward the Message
- After the message plays, press 9 for more options.
- Press 2 to forward the message.
- Record an introductory message (required). This will play before the original voicemail when the recipient listens to it.
- Press # to end the recording.
- Send the Forwarded Message
- Press 3 to send the message.
- Enter the mailbox number of the recipient. These are the last four digits of their CCRI phone number (extension), then press #.
- Return to the Main Menu
- Press * three times to return to the main menu.
Important Notes:
- WebEx Calling Only: The voicemail forwarding feature only works between users on WebEx Calling.
- Message Retention: Read messages are automatically deleted after 45 days, unless they are marked as saved.
- Mailbox Limits: If your mailbox reaches 100 messages or 100 minutes of saved content, it will no longer accept new messages. You must delete old messages to free up space.
