How to Remove Addresses From Auto-Complete List - 'do-not-reply' Error

Description: How to remove addresses from your email auto-complete list. This issue is known to cause the 'do-not-reply' error message. This can occur when the first email received from a instructor is sent from Blackboard. What this does is cache the do-not-reply email for the instructor whenever an email is sent to them. 

How-to Steps - Outlook Web:

  1. In Outlook, click the "New message" button in the top left of the webpage.
  2. In the "To:" field, type the address that you wish to remove and click the "X" at the end of the suggested auto-fill.
  3. After hitting the "X", confirm the address has been removed by typing out the remaining address and confirming it does not auto-fill

You have now successfully deleted an auto-fill contact. This can only be done one at a time with web Outlook. The next time you email the deleted address it will be re-added to your auto-contacts with the correct email.
