How to Use an Alternative Method of Verification with Microsoft Authenticator

Description: This article describes how to verify your identity with Microsoft Authenticator if you don't receive a notification to confirm the 2-digit code. How-to Steps:

  1. Upon signing into your email or a Microsoft 365 service, you will be prompted to confirm the code onscreen in the authenticator app. If you don't receive a notification on your phone to authenticate, click "I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now." Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. You will have a few options to authenticate. Select "Use a verification code." Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
