Description: Those who use Windows 11 are able to take a screenshot of a chosen region using the Snipping Tool application.
Steps:
- Click the Windows icon in the task bar or the similar key on the keyboard, usually located next to the left Alt key.

- Type in Snipping Tool; it should have an icon of scissors connected with a dotted line. Click Enter or select the item that says Snipping Tool. It should open a small rectangular box.

- Edit the settings for the screenshot you want to take. If you want to take a picture of an entire window or the entire screen, highlight the second box that says Mode and select the corresponding option. To add a delay, select the option from the dropdown menu to the left of the Mode box: you can choose no delay, three seconds, five seconds, or ten seconds.

- Once the settings are all set, click New. Ensure that the area you want to take a screenshot of is visible. Alternatively, you can click Windows + Shift + S to take a screenshot without having to click New. The alternate shortcut will not apply a delay, however.

- Hold click and drag to create a region. The lighter colored area within the box you created will be the content of the screenshot.
- Once you take the screenshot, it will automatically be copied to the clipboard. To edit the image, click the pop-up in the bottom right.

- There are an array of tools you can use to edit the image, such as a pen, highlighter, and eraser. It can also be cropped. Once you are done editing the image, click the Save, Copy, or Share buttons as shown below.

- If saved, make sure it is placed in an accessible location. If it is saved on a CCRI computer, make sure it is backed up to OneDrive or an external storage device such as a flash drive.
Once you have completed these steps, the screenshot will be available to be used as you wish.
